Day 1 Beijing - Gubeikou-Gubei Water Town

Drive to Gubeikou Great Wall, Jinshanling Great Wall, Gubei Water Town

Today’s Hiking Time: 5-6 hours

Firstly, be met at your hotel lobby in Beijing the morning after your breakfast. And then, transfer you by vehicle from the hotel to Gubeikou Great Wall. Hiking along the route from Gubeikou to Jinshanling, you will enjoy an unforgettable wild Great Wall scenery. The route is also in a moderate level which is suitable for most hikers. When arrival the end point of the hiking, you will be transferred to a water town at the bottom of Simatai Great Wall. After check-in there and have a rest till the sunset period, go up the Simatai section to enjoy the amazing sunset (if it is fine day) or you can have a leisure walk in the water town.

It is a wonderful morning when you wake up in the hotel. You can choose to go up the top of Simatai Great Wall to catch the magnificent sunrise as well as to have a birdview of the area. Or in another pace, to visit the water town and take some optional cultural activities such as (e.g. learining tie-dye, kite painting, need to be booked ahead of time). After lunch, drive you back to your hotel in Beijing.
